About the Author

My name is César Fernando P. Velasco. I am the author of The Last Star of Babylon, a historical fiction novel set in the Mesopotamian world. This site is its natural extension.

The novel explores politics, religion, and the uses of power in Babylon's final years. Here I share its characters and the work of building their world.

If you would like to write about the novel, its characters, or a possible collaboration, you can email me directly.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is the story available to read?

For now, you can explore the premise and meet the characters. I will post reading samples and publication news here when they are ready.

Why Babylon?

Because the dreams, ambitions, and miseries of human beings haven't changed that much in 2,500 years. Only the clothes and the gods change.
